New Member: Michael Hart Photography

by

When Michael Hart got his first paying photo assignment, Lyndon Johnson was still in the White House, Buffalo Springfield was just getting started, and The Beatles ruled the modern world. That was back in the era of photographic darkrooms, black-and-white film, and manual cameras. Back in the halcyon heyday of the space program and the analog world. Now it’s all state-of-the-art digital photography and techniques.  John and George are dead and gone, and Neil Young’s still going strong, pushing in new and different directions. As is Hart. His images of people and places have graced the pages of Communication Arts and Print’s Regional Design Annual. His work has been honored by The Dallas Society of Visual Communications, The Houston Addy awards, and The Art Director’s Club of Houston shows. He has brought to creative life the visual concepts of leading advertising agencies and design firms. His photographs have served as the images of choice for some of America’s leading corporations, including many Fortune 500 companies, taking him to over 30 countries along the way.And through it all, he’s still pretty much the same guy he’s always been. Still listening to rock music, playing one of his bass guitars, and sipping fine cask strength single malts from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society from time to time.
So goes his life. So goes his art.
