Production Paradise: Having been a model, is it easier for you to understand and work with children when shooting, or is it still fairly hard to motivate them?
Kymberly: Having been a model definitely plays a role in my approach and understanding of children, I can identify with them for sure! However, Being a mom also has its advantages. We somehow know what makes them tick!!
Production Paradise: What’s the craziest, funniest thing that a child’s ever done at a photoshoot?
Kymberly: Well, thats easy!! Kids are free spirits, kids have no ego, they will dance, sing, and make silly faces all day long until your stomach hurts!!! AMEN!
Production Paradise: You’ve accomplished so much, from photography and creative direction to philanthropy; is there a particular achievement that you’re the most proud of?
Kymberly: Thank you! I am passionate about all three and being a mom.
Production Paradise: Is it hard to balance everything all whilst having a family too? What do you do to relax and have some ‘me time’?
Kymberly: Keeping healthy and fit, a good diet, and exercise are key for me to have balance. My escape is a special place in Mexico called Careyes. It is my happy place.
Production Paradise: You regularly update your social media networks; what are the biggest benefits that come from your online and presence and how does Production Paradise help you with this?
Kymberly: Social Media is one of the most powerful tools to network, meet, keep in touch and promote yourself and brand. It’s extremely helpful when you have companies such as PP that provide this and more. I LOVE Social Media.
Production Paradise: Is there anything exciting you’re working on right now?
Kymberly: LOTS!!! Apart from my photography, I launched a new Kids fashion site/blog called Mini Maven. We feature shoppable, carefully curated fashion editorials, monthly interview series with industry leaders, as well as featuring Kids and Teens that make a difference, this can be found under our Mavens-Inspire section! Next month, I will be opening doors to House of Content, a digital boutique Agency, representing social media influencers, AKA, Bloggers, and providing SM content for brands, PR Firms, and Publicists.
Production Paradise: Is there a particular client you would love to work with in the future?
Kymberly: Yes!!! I love to travel, and would absolutely love to work with labels from the UK, Australia, Spain, & the Netherlands! There are so many adorable brands abroad for the little ones that I’m obsessed with, Including Tutu Du Monde, Feather Drum, Pale cloud, Bandit Kids, Scotch Shrunk, Scotch R’Belle, Bobo Choses, but If I had to choose I’d love to work with Stella McCartney, she is a true inspiration!!!
