Curve Digital is a young, passionate and driven team who produce amazing images through all pixel disciplines. They specialise in CGI & 3D, creative post production, retouching, 2D compositing and colour management.
In addition to working with companies like Aston Martin, Curve Digital has recently worked with Cadillac and the UK´s leading pharmacy chain Boots. Their client list is growing at a rapid pace and it looks like there is no stopping this Nottingham and London based set up.
Production Paradise: Who are Curve and what makes you guys stand out from the crowd?
Curve Digital: Simply put, we are a group of like minded individuals whose strong passion to create beautiful imagery drives us. Our level of quality, accuracy and speed is balanced by our creativity, and our insane eagerness to surpass our client’s expectations. But more importantly we like to have fun during the process. We feel this shows through in our work and clients seem to like it too.
Production Paradise: When producing new images, what are the different steps to go through and what is the most exciting one for you?
Curve Digital: We love collaborative idea generation with clients. Listening to how they see their final image, and suggesting ways in which we can realise and improve that. Where we can use all of our specialist areas in synergy, combining photographic, CGI and Illustrative skills
Production Paradise: Last year was huge for Curve; can you tell us about the jobs you were awarded for Cadillac and for the UK’s premier pharmacy chain Boots?
Curve Digital: Last year was definitely one of our biggest. Following a small shoot in California for Cadillac we were asked back in October to be the lead post production house for their major brand relaunch shoot. Our CGI department was busy back in the UK generating imagery for Boots in-store rebrand, making assets to be used in all areas of their business, from banners and shelf headers to online and gift guide assets.
Production Paradise: Which job from Curve’s history posed the most challenges and why?
Curve Digital: All the projects we embark on present their own challenges, whether that be hitting short deadlines or learning new techniques to deliver different solutions. Recently on location for Aston Martin in the mountains above Barcelona, we provided on set retouching in cold, harsh conditions. If this wasn’t enough we had to stop the local goats from chewing the power cables of our equipment. This was a different sort of challenge.
Production Paradise: What are you currently working on and what exciting projects are up next?
Curve Digital: We have recently been awarded 2 projects for Lexus which saw our on location service stretched to its limits with one shoot happening in France and Spain whilst the other happened in Los Angeles.
Production Paradise: What have you found most useful about being a Production Paradise member?
Curve Digital: Being a member of Production Paradise gives us a voice to speak to prospective new clients whilst keeping our current client base in the loop as to what we are doing. Communication is so important in this business and the huge network that Production Paradise has makes that an easy and seamless task.
