Andrea Claire is a Canadian hair and makeup artist who has lived and worked all over the world. After completing her training in Toronto, she had a flourishing career in Canada for 15+ years before relocating to Singapore in 2007. She worked in Austin, Texas from 2009-2010 before moving back to Singapore where she currently resides. Today she is one of the most sought out hair and makeup artists in the world.
‘I love capturing the essence of a person – to enhance their own beauty and features,’, says Andrea. ‘My goal is to help real people and models alike feel great about how they look. There’s nothing better than people leaving my chair with a new lift in their step, and in their spirits. My philosophy has a focus on hair and makeup that relates to people’s everyday lives, and ideas that can be executed at home.’
Andrea’s credits range from television commercials, film, and music videos to print ads, magazine editorial shoots, and Lead Hair Artist for L’Oreal Fashion Week for 2005 and 2006, and L’Oreal Hair Consultant for seasons 2 and 3 of Canadian Idol. She led teams of 15 haristylists for all the shows.
Her portfolio includes work with Alanis Morisette, Kelly Rowan, The Veronicas, Natalie Imbruglia, Sarah Slean, Daniel Bedingfield, M2M, Hot Hot Heat, Big Sugar, Sarah Polley, The Stills, Kathie Lee Gifford, Nicole Miller, and many others.
