Production Paradise: What are some of the trends that you see in Advertising imagery?
Toru Fujii: One of the trends that I’m seeing lately, is that effective advertising imagery can have the ability of making people think of our society at a glance, without a need for words.
Production Paradise: What sort of images would you like to see in the competition?
Toru Fujii: I would love to see any images that show our humanity.
Production Paradise: What are you looking for in a photographer?
Toru Fujii: I’m always seeking for someone who has the power to change my way of thinking.
Production Paradise: How important are online platforms for finding new talent? What platforms do you use to scout new photographers?
Toru Fujii: Online platforms are good, but we have so many these days and that can be overwhelming. Honestly, I am currently using these awards to find new talent!
Production Paradise: In what ways do you think Production Paradise Spotlight Awards could benefit photographers?
Toru Fujii: By winning the Spotlight Awards, it is the perfect way to advertise yourself and your work. This is only the second year, so I can only imagine the prestige will grow with time.
