San Bartomeo

Set in the heart of rolling countryside, San Bartomeo de Torres is a unique experience in Catalonia. A small former priory with an attached 12th century “ermita” (chapel), it was once a Benedictine Priory where, according to historical records, two of the thorns from Christ’s coronet were kept for 250 years.

The house provides six en-suite bedrooms and first class facilities throughout. The two hectares of grounds includes a private 12-metre swimming pool and small lake, as well as a photographic/arts studio with natural north light, available for film and still shoots.

San Bartomeo’s elevated position provides panoramic views of Mount Rocacorba across the valley and the Pyrenees in the distance. Although secluded, it has superb access - Girona airport is only 25 minutes away and Barcelona is an hour away.

Steve Garforth has taken the last two years out of photography to restore San Bartomeo de Torres, a 13th century priory.

The house is now fully restored, and you can see the results at the website. It is offered as a venue for rental accommodation and location film or stills. In the grounds is a photo/film studio, available as a hire facility with or without the house, for filming, stills and catalogue.

Steve is now returning to photography with a new book and a fresh eye, represented by Agent Pandora.
