Prinz is now running productions in Lisbon. With its fantastic weather and varied locations, beaches with festive bars, historical buildings, forests and modern streets, Portugal is cheaper than other European destinations and, of course, production friendly. The intrepid production team at Prinz, led by Cindy Viljoen, recently returned from shooting a fantastic commercial with Yannick Noah for Ecoute Te Nature in some of the most pristine locations to be found anywhere on the planet.

At the beginning of the year, Mamas and Papas shot a catalogue for pregnancy wear with Paul Robinson behind the lens, taking images of some wonderful models that had travelled to Cape Town for the summer season.

IDDesign, a Danish furniture catalogue company and one of Prinz' oldest clients, made good use of the many beautiful houses and villas that Cape Town has to offer on a shoot with Erik Zappon.

A co-production with Orendt Studios for Frontline once again pushed the boundaries of catalogue production with an innovative street style and edgy look. The company's style lends itself to street casting and many a new talent was found during the course of the production as the Prinz team roamed the downtown streets taking edgy editorial-style pictures with photographer Torsten Orendt.

Prinz Productions has gone global: the company shot Otto in Mauritius during the European summer with photographer Thomas Kettner at the helm, steering his way through a swimwear and lingerie extravaganza.

Photographer Jonathan Glynn-Smith worked with cameraman Stephen Pennells to capture some amazing imagery including ancient fishing boats, beautiful palm tree-lined beaches and old colonial buildings for the summer Aigle production with Elements UK. For the safari part of the story, Prinz trekked across to the north west of South Africa where the African Savannah and wild animals formed the backdrop to an 'Out of Africa' experience.

The season in Cape Town is looking good with weather stable until the middle of May. The company is busy quoting on jobs in Cape Town, Buenos Aires and Thailand, working alongside clients with its usual price sensitivity to make their productions a reality.
