Cine Concepto (Cinematronics) was established in 1976 by Francisco Murguia. In 1987, Fred Clapp joined the company as a partner. Cine Concepto since then has been one of the most prestigious and strongest growing companies in the Mexican film industry.
The company has produced over 4000 TV commercials, 30 documentaries, and has co-produced three feature films: Cabeza de Vaca, Mi Querido Tom Mix, and Paty Chula (directed by Paco Murguía), that won an Ariel Award for 'Best Fiction Short Film'.
