Associate Creative Director

The ACD is a hands-on creative development position that is responsible for working closely with the ECD to lead and inspire the creative team in crafting innovative ideas and maintaining the level of creative integrity that is set forth by the agency. The ideal candidate possesses a strong ability to understand the individual challenges of each brand, and is nimble enough to switch from one client to another without missing a beat.
Managing the creative department staff alongside the ECD.
Managing and developing creative concepts for assigned accounts.
Establishing and maintaining a high level of creative output by originating creative ideas, adhering to Creative Briefs, and ensuring consistency of strategic branding, applying consistent style and message across brand documents, understanding style and referencing usage, applying appropriate regulatory requirements, etc.
Attending creative meetings, reviewing creative briefs.
Overseeing both the copy and artistic process by meeting regularly with copywriters and art directors, along with Account Management to assess project development, review work and determine whether project is on target and within the scope of the Creative Brief.
Acting as a client liaison by presenting various stages of work to the client and effectively responding to client requests or inquiries in a timely manner.
Acting as a mentor to departmental employees by providing developmental opportunities, responding to questions, and providing overall direction and guidance.
Ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects, timelines are managed and strategic brand objectives are promoted.
Ensuring smooth internal workflow by utilizing effective delegation, the assignment/reassignment of appropriate resources to jobs, providing direction and counsel as needed.
Assisting in the development of new business presentations and presenting creative work.
Providing supervision and oversight to freelance staff when necessary.
Additional projects and assignments based on the needs of the company and department.
7-10 years experience in an agency with proven management experience.
An excellent portfolio that includes promotion, marketing, advertising and editorial.
The ability to manage your own projects, while working within a team environment.
Superior organization and interpersonal skills.
The ability to thrive within a fast-paced agency environment.
The ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
An understanding of client specified marketing objectives.
Expert use of Adobe CS6.
Understanding of Flash, After Effects, and Video production is an added bonus.
The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level and qualifications.
This is an on-site position.
