The role of the Marketing Communications group at Apple is to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications in support of Apple’s business goals. Based in Singapore, as a key member of Apple's Marcom team, the Creative Director, Art provides leadership for the visual execution of Apple’s marketing communications across the SE Asia region. Apple’s Graphic Design and Marcom group is a team of designers, writers, producers and planners that help to develop and execute Apple’s marketing strategy. Marcom manages packaging design, retail and channel environments, motion graphics, events materials, direct marketing, as well as the apple.com web site. They will be a key member of the leadership team and be able to lead from the front.
He / She will require an understanding of digital, retail, channel and advertising communications in SE Asia. This is to ensure that the messaging programs are relevant and effective in the local market.
Apple requires the position to understand the print production process.
The position has regular scheduled calls with WW to receive downloads as well as raise queries / requests to meet the unique marketing challenges in geo. Business travel of at least 30% of time is also required.
The ideal candidate must have 15+ years prior experience, have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, demonstrated flawless project and management skills, as well as have a deep understanding of the creative development, localization and production process. Candidate must have demonstrated strong leadership ability in previous roles.
The ability to excel both at a strategic and executional level, is an absolute must while operating in a matrix organization.
The ideal candidate must have previous marketing experience in the SE Asia market at a design firm, ad agency or in-house marketing communications department.
15+ years experience in an ad agency, design firm or in-house marketing communications department - Relevant experience in the local market is required
Experience in through-the-line creative development, localization, execution and production
Attention to detail and results oriented
Team player who takes personal ownership of assigned tasks
Excellent communication, selling and presentation skills
Ability to work both at a strategic and execution level
Ability to multi-task, deliver under tight timelines, adapt quickly to change
Fluency in English is required, knowledge of other SE Asian languages is a plus.
The Creative Director, Art for SE Asia will work closely with Marcom in Cupertino to: Uphold brand standards, set the tone of voice and consistency with other global work being produced Review work with the Apple’s senior creative staff Be responsible for directing creative work done by agency partners for Apple Provide creative support to the regional Marcom team and be the go to person when creative challenges need to be resolved Ensure that all creative from the worldwide teams is appropriately adapted for the local market
