The day's events to be photographed will include What Cheer? Brigade: a 19-piece Brass Marching Band, Artist Made Floats, Residency Open Studios, a Cake Walk, Field Games, Live Music and a Pig Roast at the local bar, the Lantern.
Compensation: $200 plus $50 travel (Wassaic is about 2 hours North of NYC by Metro-North train or car)
Hours: Photographer should arrive before the festivities start at 4pm and stay until at least 7pm.
Potential for re-hire to photograph upcoming Last Saturdays (wassaicproject.org/events/last-saturdays/) and our annual Summer Festival of bands, art, dance and film (wassaicproject.org/festival/about/)

The Wassaic Project is an incubator for emerging artists located in the historic hamlet of Wassaic, NY, offering programs that both create a community that supports great art and use art as a force for strengthening the surrounding community. Programming includes an annual Exhibition in the Maxon Mills, a repurposed seven story grain elevator, showcasing emerging artists; The Wassaic Artist Residency Program bringing artists to the Wassaic community to live and work; an annual Summer Festival with curated art, music, dance and film; and Education programs bringing professional artists into local public schools and inviting these children to the exhibition space to explore, discuss and create contemporary art.
