Interactive Design Director

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Interactive Design Director with extensive web and mobile experience.
As the leader of the Comedy Central Design team this person will help shape the future of the digital products for the
network.


Working closely with the leaders of the content programming and product teams the person in this role will lead all design
for Comedy Central Digital including mobile and web sites, apps, Interactive TV and more.

The ideal candidate is passionate about design, has a thorough understanding of user experience, and a vision for how
these can be best applied across all digital platforms. He or she will have extensive experience designing mobile and web
interfaces that are as stunning to look at as they are functional to use. They must be able to communicate and "sell" design
solutions to senior management and teammates, provide design thought leadership to the company and push the boundaries of
what's possible in the digital space.

Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee design for all web site and mobile projects, from conceptualization to execution
Understand product goals and think creatively to conceptualize innovative user experiences that meet product goals
Advocating for design at the executive level
Ensure timely turn-around and successful completion according to project timelines
Collaborate with content, technology and product teams to shape ideas and solutions
Oversee the work of the design team, including staff, freelance, and agency resources, design practice and processes, providing creative, conceptual and art direction on all digital fronts
Demonstrate high quality standards, attention to detail and adherence to company processes and best practices

Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience
Good leadership and communication skills, organized and great time management.
Ability to drive the creation of an experience from initial conception to implementation
Proficient to expert in: Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
Experience translating wireframes into design .
Capable of juggling multiple projects and one time and to deliver results on a tight deadline
