Last year, Planday closed a $3.75 million funding round from Nordic VC Creandum, an early backer of music streaming service Spotify, amongst many other investments.

Founded in 2004, Planday has grown organically for the last 10 years, remaining successful and profitable throughout this time. It has built a leading workforce management SaaS solution and is now looking to scale the company internationally. Planday aims to be the no. 1 all-in-one online scheduling system in the world and plans to double revenues in the next 12 months.

What they are looking for

Planday is looking for a User Experience Designer with strong visual skills to help imagine, prototype, build, and refine the experiences that define our apps (iOS & Android) and Planday Product (Web). As a member of the Planday Design team, you’ll work with Product and Engineering teams to bring beauty and ease-of-use to the Planday experience.

Your work is clean, modern, inspiring, and above all else, empathetic. You’re a team player with experience working across UX, interaction, UI and motion design. Mastery of all four of these disciplines isn’t necessary, but we prefer designers who can take on multiple aspects of a single project.

You love sketching out ideas to break down something complex into the achievable. You love to build things with the heartbeat of latest design patterns with emerging technologies in mind. You thrive working with a group of talented designers, willing to constructively critique designs and have your designs critiqued.

You must have a portfolio demonstrating examples of work regarding user experience and interaction design.

This role is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your responsibilities:

Design elegant, delightful and visual stunning product experiences as part of an integrated Product, Design and Engineering team.

Create and modify design deliverables such as specifications, process flows, wireframes, and mock-ups.

Initiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on research, analysis, and design trends.

Work in a collaborative environment with developers, testers, designers and product managers.

Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across products and overall brand.

Identify user needs and business requirements for interaction design.

Build prototypes to conduct user testing internally and externally and refine solutions based on data and other findings.

Lead and manage application design from start to finish.


3+ years of direct experience in UX/Interaction Design.

Experience designing and building products and features for mobile (iOS & Android) and web in responsive frameworks.

Solid understanding of user experience, user research, interaction design, and design principles.

Passion for identifying and solving real user problems.

An ability to tell compelling stories about your designs and present your work with confidence.

Solid intuition and strong passion for detailed interaction design.

Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time.

Proficient in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision, Pixate and other design and prototyping tools.
