About us

Imagen Ltd have been at the forefront of media asset management for 20 years. Our modular, award winning Enterprise Video Platform software enables content owners to easily publish and monetise large-scale media archives in a branded web interface, either in the cloud or self-hosted.

Our technology has been developed working on large-scale projects for corporate, educational and government clients and is used by Ministry of Defence, BBC, Channel 4, IMG, ATP, Endemol and many more.

About the role

We are looking for a talented person to work as part of our close-knit team. As a member of the team you will be working on client web projects, often from design conception to completion, as well as producing and maintaining a range of stock ‘themes’ for our fast-evolving web based product.
Using pre-dominantly HTML / CSS you will produce creative and cutting edge templates that will be integrated onto a PHP-based framework.
Good communication skills are an essential requirement to this role, along with an eye for detail and design.

About you

You will have excellent design skills and you pay great attention to detail.
You are fluent in hand-coding templates using HTML4/5, CSS (including CSS3).
You are familiar with browser compatibility and supporting a range of modern web browsers.
You will have experience of JavaScript
You will have experience in working with PHP.
You will thrive under pressure and have a successful track record of meeting deadlines
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills.
You will have at least 4 years commercial experience in a similar role.

Anything else?

In addition to the above, any experience to the following would be advantageous!

Revision Control Systems (Subversion, Git etc)
Experience or solid understanding of MVC style frameworks such as WordPress / Yii/ Drupal etc.
Knowledge of SEO, Accessibility, UI & UX principles.
CSS Pre-processors such as LESS or SASS.
Experience of working within a SCRUM team (Agile development)
