La Cosa de las Películas commercials production
Aspire 'Reflections' was shot in Barcelona in July and aired during the Beijing Olympic Games.
Shooting for the project took place in five different locations to feign different corners of the world: Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arabic world and northern Europe.

The part with Leo Messi was shot in a studio and put together with the rest of the footage in post production.

La Cosa de las Peliculas commercials production

The commercial featured in this Showcase was shot for Kia Motors and is due to be released to coincide with the Asian Motor Show 2008.

The production lasted six days and was shot in Madrid, Los Monegros (Huesca) and Las Bardenas (Navarra). One of its highlights was the use of technical material like the 'Russian arm' brought from Canada, and the 'nose mount' from the UK - and of course, the technical crew made up of more than 60 people!

Barcelona: La Cosa de las Películas

Production company La Cosa de las Películas has been creating commercials for more than 25 years. It was started in Barcelona in 1982 by Ramón Poch and Eduardo Romero-Girón (both photographers and directors), and was a huge challenge for the pair after they had already succeeded in the world of photography with La Cosa de la Fotografía.

La Cosa de las Películas has since worked with more than 30 directors from all over the world, and collaborated with companies and advertising agencies from all five continents - from Beirut to Seoul, through to Paris, London and Milan, among many others.

"We know our job and what our clients expect of it, and we like getting involved in their projects. We know the importance of teamwork, and we walk together until the end - we know no other way. A good result is the only way of justifying our existence as professionals."
