Latest news from George Productions includes Franke Kitchen Accessories shot by Daniela Federici in the iconic Stahl and Goldstein houses in LA. "It all looks so smooth, yet the day before we were to start shooting, over a third of our product was missing in customs... product that needed full assembly. Nothing's ever easy, but you just get it done."
Other work this year includes French Davred menswear ads, Swedish Bikbok women's catalogue, major Stuyvesant cigarette campaign, Michael Buble Christmas album shot in the heat of summer, editorials for British You Magazine, and Innesco/Golden Square with Alessandra Ambrosio for a soon-to-be-opened Brazilian shopping mall.

Recent work from George Productions:
- Harpers Bazaar Russia - Featuring Coco Rocha, an amazing model "who knew instinctively what to do with the clothes and how to show them to their best advantage; such an imaginative girl and a dream shoot."
- UBS Bank - This project was cast at the last minute, working within a very tight multi-country shoot schedule. "We were initially given a couple of weeks to prepare, which was quickly snatched away meaning we were left with a couple of days to prep, cast, clear and shoot the talent for the New York section of the ad. It all came out nicely though!" See the UBS video casting story here.
- The 80th anniversary of The Hollywood Reporter "was one of those last minute jobs given to me to produce at the 11th hour. To have all that talent, along with the personalities that go with it I thought would be a real challange, but they could not have been a nicer, more interesting and fun bunch".

Kim Handley of George Productions acted as art buyer, casting director and producer for the new Motions 'Get You Pretty' TV and print ad campaigns. The concept was a complete breakaway from the usual African American hair ads that tend to be rather static and shot in the studio.
Both projects were approached with a much more fashion-forward feeling in mind, with the TV spot deriving from a 1970s Guy Bourdin reference and the print campaign (three ads launching this summer) having a much looser, editorial feel. Eddie Brannan was the creative director, Brand Asset Group the agency.
"The campaign has a modern look using modern girls with an editorial approach," says Kim Handley. "We continued with our print girl from the summer, Tia Shippman, and used her as our principal girl for the TV spot. Not only was she a real trooper, but she was able to keep a smile on her face from 5am to 9pm and did it all without complaining. She was a joy to work with. In support we had our tried and tested glamour team, Chuck Amos (hair), Billy B (make-up), and John Moore (styling). Together they guaranteed an edgy, 'of the moment' look to all the spots."
The print was shot last summer by Marc Baptiste in NYC, and the TV spot in December by Daniela Federici in downtown Los Angeles using a NYC backdrop.

George Productions recently embraced an interesting set of castings that made for a break from its usual fashion and lifestyle campaigns.
"What I like about this kind of casting is you have to stretch outside of your normal comfort zone and explore more," explains Kim Handley. "This ends up taking you to places and people you'd never normally go to. For instance, the wrestling environment: casting these guys was hilarious, they take their appearance very seriously and give a performance in the first degree - and this was only for a casting! Asking them to go into wrestler mode for the camera was ear-shattering, with all the muscle pumping, sweating and growling that is involved. My whole crew had a blast!"
"From the wrestler character we then had to switch gears for the Shiman character, a totally different entity; quiet, serene, slow and purposeful. We were looking for someone who could hold a proper high-kick leg stance and also look good, which is a lot easier than it sounds."
"The hunters were another fun group to cast. All year long you see great looking people that you'd love to cast in something, and this was my chance to ask these guys to get into the white trash, gun-toting hunter mode. They certainly didn't disappoint! Some of them were so good we just let them keep rolling with their characters, as every facial expression, look and bon mot out of their mouths was hilarious. One of my favorite jobs by far!"

Latest work from George Productions:
- Pantene 'Relaxed & Natural' campaign: During summer
2008, the company oversaw casting in New Orleans, Atlanta and
Charlotte for Pantene's new line specifically directed at
African American women. "We were flabbergasted by how much thought
and emotion these women had invested in our question, 'What does
your hair mean and say about you?'," said producer Kim Handley.
"Their responses brought our team either to a stunned silence or
blubbering tears. There was a lot of laughter too, but it was
emotional, exhausting, exhilarating and worth it all." The campaign
was shot by Keith Major.
- Rosato campaign featuring Liz Hurley, shot by Daniela Fedeici. The Italian jewellery company wanted a big presence for its 2009 worldwide advertising launch. Shot in London. Produced by George Productions.
- Moët et Chandon. Moët's first foray into the African American market in the US. Kim Handley acted as Art Buyer for this project, which was Moët's first ever foray into US advertising. Shot by Ben Watts, the company wanted to convey real energy alongside an appropriate level of luxury and glamour.
