London: Happy Finish
Happy Finish presents "Photography isn't Dead".
"Photography isn't Dead" is a groundbreaking series of live events showcasing how CGI and photography work together to create stunning results. Over three event days Happy Finish will hold free demonstrations of how an automotive, fashion and location concept shoot were transformed through the use of CGI.
In collaboration with Trigger, Luis Monteiro and Simon Hanna, Happy Finish CGI and retouching teams will demonstrate step-by-step how everyone can use CGI in diverse photographic projects.
A dedicated website allows those interested to sign up to events, watch backstage videos and to find out all about how CGI can be a great asset to photographers, rather than a threat to their existence.

London: Happy Finish
Happy Finish has recently collaborated with award-winning photographer Benedict Redgrove on a project to recreate the TWA Flight Center, part of JFK International Airport in New York, entirely in CGI.
"The TWA is a striking example of Saarinen's futurist thin-shell structures. Our aim was to transform this iconic landmark back to the full glory of it's 1960's heyday," explains Happy Finish CGI artist, Matt Painter. "Most of these angles, especially exterior shots, are impossible to get from the building today, as it has been built up so much over the years. The terminal is now out of use and there is no public access. Through CGI we have created a photo-realistic environment that is true to the original setting. The TWA can now be used as a breathtaking and freely accessible shoot location that would otherwise have been lost."
Alongside cutting-edge CGI projects in photo-realistic environments, luxury advertising and art, Happy Finish works with award-winning photographers and ad agencies worldwide creating advertising images using retouching and CGI.

Happy Finish
Happy Finish is a collective of creative digital retouchers and CGI artists who have worked on some of the most eye-catching and award winning campaigns of the last few years, including Diesel, Sony, Adidas, Louis Vuitton and Land Rover, in partnership with many of Europe's most famous art directors and photographers.
Happy Finish artists often get involved in discussions about the cost, timing and quality of different production routes, advising photographers and art directors on the shots required to create complex multiple-part images.
The company's CGI artists also regularly work with photographers to create photo-real CGI elements for their concepts, bringing added reality to images which would be hard to create without CGI.
"We are able to provide advice and cost estimates for any type of project, and are always happy to talk to new people without any obligation," says director Stuart Waplington.

CGI / Retouching: Happy Finish
CGI 2.0 by Happy Finish
Happy Finish, one of the UK's most established CGI and retouching companies, has taken its unique creative approach into realistic CGI and 3D.
"Of course we do shiny new cars, products and set builds to the highest creative standards," says MD Stuart Waplington, "but we have also developed ways to create more complex textures, like during the collaboration with UK photographer John Offenbach to create a rusty abandoned car. One of our clients recently called it CGI 2.0!"
This creative approach is reflected in the company's portfolio, with projects such as the sumptuous leather and walnut CGI interior of the Aston Martin, the complex crystal horse created with photographer Patrick Ryan, and the popcorn-eating gremlins.
Happy Finish CGI adds creative value to many commercial projects, having recently worked with Sony, Capital One and Publicis to name but a few.
"Contact us and let's discuss your concepts," says Stuart.

Happy Finish
Happy Finish is a collective of independent digital photographic retouchers working for worldwide clients from central London studios, in Soho and Shoreditch, with full on-site scanning and proofing facilities.
Happy Finish retouchers specialise in particular areas of retouching and, similar to a photographic agency, prospective clients are able to see portfolios of each retoucher and select the person they want to work with.
The individual retoucher's portfolios are on the newly re-launched website, which shows much of their recent work. The Diesel 'Camouflage World' campaign is one to check out closely. MD Stuart Waplington explains: 'The concept is that the world was to be entirely camouflaged, apart from the models. Most people who see the shots think it was set dressing and body paint but it was all done in post; it certainly kept us out of the pub for some time!' -

Happy Finish
Happy Finish is a collective of independent digital retouchers in London working for clients around the world. Recent work included the Diesel Camouflage, D&G Underwear and the Dodge ‘Anything But Cute’ campaigns.
Managing Director, Stuart Waplington, explains their rapid success in the following terms: “We brought together the best independent retouchers in the UK, and consciously kept Happy Finish non-corporate to maintain the creative edge. The retouchers continue to work directly one-on-one with the photographers and art directors. Clients love it because they get to choose the retoucher they want to work with rather than us choosing for them.”
More information can be found at their newly-re-launched website, which has individual portfolios of all the represented retouchers.
