7 Seas recently produced for OTTO subsidiary Schwab in Buenos Aires and Colombia, where the company maintains a small production office in Cartagena on the Caribbean coast.

7 Seas' local producer is a veteran of the Cartagena film festival that is dedicated to modern Latin American cinema. Colombia is a sure bet for 7 Seas, with over 5000 amazing location photos available for layouts and shoot preparation from the company's recently relaunched website.

German people and lifestyle photographer Christoph Siegert recently shot on a hacienda near Buenos Aires, with smooth production provided by Maria. 7 Seas producer Facundo is currently busy in a Buenos Aires film studio with a long duration Walt Disney production for a kids channel.

    7 Seas Productions   photo production

7 Seas Productions is based in the northern Buenos Aires district of El Tigre and is composed of a mixed Argentine-European crew experienced in both photo and film productions. This joint expertise enables 7 Seas to combine the best of both worlds to the benefit of its clients, providing swift, resourceful and cost effective services that make for efficient productions.

7 Seas accompanies clients from the very beginning, with the help of a well organised and constantly up-to-date location database and clear cost previews.

Recent worldwide projects include Mercedes Trucks, Piazza Italia, Grazia, Stihl, Schwab Versand, Volkswagen Amarok, Wrap and Scotch & Soda. Part of the Argentine 7 Seas crew is currently on a fashion shoot in Cartagena, on the Caribbean coast of Colombia.

The 7 Seas Argentina team is getting ready for the austral winter. For Patagonia, the company teamed up with Klaus, a German-French breed who settled many years ago with his family in Bariloche and runs a motorbike tour business. He is the perfect match for everything snow and wilderness related and he knows the area like the palm of his hand. His motorbike tours often start on the Argentine side of Patagonia, cruising south to Tierra de Fuego and hitting the Chilean side of Patagonia on their way back. What a Mounty is for Canada, Klaus is for Patagonia and 7 Seas.

The 7 Seas Argentina summer was full of fashion productions for clients including German Catalogue SheeGo (Schwab - Otto) and editorials for Grazia. The pictures featured in this Showcase reveal a typical Argentine Estancia, the counterpart to the Mexican Hacienda and cradle of the Gaucho and Polo myths.

The Argentine-German production team formed by Facundo and Christian has moved to a new office location away from the centre of Buenos Aires to the calmer Tigre district, with the lush greens of the Paraná River right in front of the porch.

Location manager Ezequiel teamed up to take care of scouting not only the versatile city of Buenos Aires but also neighbouring Uruguay and other Argentine cities. Both Facundo and Ezequiel are veterans of the Argentine publicity filming industry, while Christian focuses on photo productions, especially with European and North American clients.

    Recent jobs include:

    • German fashion and lifestyle magazine Grazia with photographer Leo Krumbacher.
    • Adidas with the Argentine and Paraguayan football teams. Nahuel Berger shot for Paraguay and Mosy Abadia for Argentina.
    • Gatorade with Lionel Messi and photographer Gabriela Messina.
    • HSBC North America with director Brett Morgan.

    France - Spain: Budget Productions

Budget Productions is a young venture started by a group of old producers. By maintaining the “body and soul” of years of experience across many countries, Connie Schmidt-Reimer and Christian Bengsch merged to create Budget Productions for France and Spain.

Budget tailors its services to magazines, catalogues and photographers working on a tight budget who need real, close-at-hand locations. The idea is to open sunny streets and beaches to the small briefcase, creating the equivalent of prêt-à-porter locations. Budget strips a fashion or editorial shoot down to its essential needs, with clients renouncing only the higher-end comforts of the production process.

The Budget concept benefits from a range of initiatives launched by Mediterranean towns and cities to promote audiovisual projects by waiving the usual location fees. In terms of service everything else remains the same, with Budget providing 12 years of experience in photo production, an unparalleled level of service for each and every project, and an extensive database of locations on the Costa del Sol and French Riviera.
