London: Lorentz Gullachsen
From the boardroom to the workplace, from a trading floor or logistics warehouse to quarry in deep mud.
Lorentz Gullachsen has many years experience working worldwide on industrial and corporate projects, annual reports, web portraits and B2B advertising. He is as relaxed with the chairman as he is with the janitor.
"I don't see problems, just solutions in disguise," says Lorentz. "I relish challenges, be it a two-minute portrait of a 'difficult' sitter or an impossible location, I work toward getting a result that exceeds expectations, I offer a variety of styles and approaches, from fly on the wall observed to stylized large format. I shoot what is most appropriate for the situation and the designer's needs, on time and on budget."

After time out to gain an MA at BIAD in VisCom, Lorentz Gullachsen is back with a new website and direction. Known for his landscapes and automotive work, he has now returned to his first love of shooting people on location.
With new bases in London, the Cotswolds and Spain, Lorentz has been developing a new approach to portraits. Shooting high-end digital, he produces panoramic files that can be used for very high-resolution prints. They can be cropped for many formats, especially web-based requirements. Lorentz also shoots moving images.
Recent commissions include lifestyle shoots for a major healthcare client, trading and corporate commissions.

"Lorentz Gullachsen shoots Cowboy wins prize and leaves."
Lorentz recently won the West Midlands Open Art Prize at Birmingham Art Gallery, with a portrait from his series entitled 'In the American West Midlands'.
He has left his Teme Valley base to return closer to London, now finding himself in the North Cotswolds.
Shooting for Guide Dogs, Canon, Nissan and a range of healthcare clients, he also continues to work on an extensive landscape project in Wales. For once, however, lack of rain stopped shooting. "British weather, you can never rely on it!"

"Consume less or the planet dies. Consume more or the economy dies."
Lorentz Gullachsen has been working on a personal project entitled 'Off Your Trolley'.
"Photography is a powerful tool," says Lorentz. "It may even help to save our world. We need to question how much we consume or waste. I don't have the answers, but I may have some of the questions."
The photographer also recently shot travel editorials in Wales and completed a short film which is currently in post production.

London: Lorentz Gullachsen
Lorentz Gullachsen recently shot cowboys, showgirls, mechanics, truck drivers, landscape gardeners, teachers and bookkeepers - and that was just in one day!
A busy mix of advertising campaigns, editorial commissions and personal projects has kept Lorentz busy over the last twelve months in the UK, as well as New Zealand, Italy and Spain. From his base in the heart of England he is well placed to get to most UK locations.
The photographer says, "It has been a tough year for everyone, but somehow I've been lucky and pragmatic about all aspects of production. It's great to stay in a five-star hotel, but there are great bed & breakfast places around too, so let's keep real location photography alive - stock shots are for wimps!"
