London: Nick Dawe
London-based portrait photographer Nick Dawe has been photographing all kinds of people in a variety of interesting situations for more than 20 years. It is precisely this fabulous diversity of life that continues to intrigue and fascinate him. Nick has recently worked on campaigns for The Army Cadet Force, Bakkavör, GEA Group, Nat West and The Twentieth Century Society.
When not working on commercial assignments, Nick is likely to be pursuing personal projects that invariably document some aspect of the British public at work or play. These projects often begin as a point of curiosity or a desire to learn about something, resulting in publication at a later date, as recently happened with his ongoing series 'Nation of Shopkeepers', which was featured as a photo-essay in Intelligent Life magazine.

Nick Dawe people & lifestyle photographers
Nick specialises in photographing people on location. When not on assignment for clients ranging from the BBC, Peugeot, The Army Cadet Force Association or BUPA, he is likely to be pursuing personal projects.
The photographs featured in this Showcase form part of an ongoing project ‘Roadside Britain’ that documents people along the nation's roads.
"All the people featured were observed whilst driving along in a car," says Nick. "Part of the fun of the project is the random nature of the subject matter, with many of the opportunities presenting themselves on a return journey from a job when time allows for the simple luxury of looking!"
