Minneapolis: Andrea Rugg
Andrea Rugg is an architectural photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She photographs buildings and structures, both commercial and residential, interiors and exteriors, landscape and landscape architecture and public works projects.
"Having been born in Germany, because my father worked for the state department, then moving to the Midwest, I became enamored of travel and new places. We traveled quite a bit as a family since my father would often take the family along when he taught summer school or did research.
I have always been fascinated by houses and structures. When I was young, my brother and I would get up early in the morning and spend hours drawing up house plans and building Lego houses. He would later become an architect but my interests turned toward art and photography so being an architectural photographer feels like the perfect balance of my interests. I am also an avid gardener and I love photographing gardens and landscape architecture."

"When I was young, my sister taught me how to use her SLR camera, and I was instantly hooked. I loved the light meter moving as I changed aperture or shutter-speed. I loved the feel of cranking film through the camera and the sound of the shutter opening and closing.
Now I make lifestyle work, portraits, and all kinds of other pictures and moving pictures for clients all over the world. Every picture is a chance for the subject, audience, client, and myself to relate. That is my favourite part of doing this work.
When I am not making pictures, I am hanging out with my brilliant wife. We play cribbage, talk about the world, go for walks, make great food, work on our garden, and play with our two crazy cats. I also love running and biking and I still skate.
Thanks for making the time to look at my work. I enjoy any chance I get to talk to folks about this incredible work that we make. I am really lucky to have worked with such great collaborators, and I would love to work with you!
Clients Include Target, Belize Tourism, Politico, VSA, mono, Outside Magazine, Arnold Worldwide, US Bank, United Health Care, Colle + McVoy, BMO, Harris, Century Link, OLSON, Carmichael, Lynch, Sappi Fine Paper, Schells Brewing, Metropolis Magazine and Major League Baseball."

Minneapolis: Curtis Johnson
An endorsement of photographer Curtis Johnson, as told by An Amish Man:
"If I, Habakuk Johansen, believed in photography I would hire Curtis Johnson for all of my photographic needs. I would ask him to take pictures of me doing chores. Naked. Churning butter, raising barns, pitching hay, all crazy-ass naked. I would then ask him to put his big, manly arms around me and sweep me away from the simple life of conservative values and sin-free living. He would take me deep within the metallic structures of man’s arrogance. There I would indulge in the firewater, swagger in a drunken stupor, belt out profanity whilst picking fights with discotechque patrons only to awake hours later in a hospital ward where I would eat canned applesauce and watch episodes of MacGyver on the intimidating, technological glowing box...........if I believed in photography, that is."
