The spatial perception in Ilse Leenders' photography characterises her work. The combination of three elements is usually a constant in her work: model, costume and surrounding. These elements are strongly connected and intensify each other, as a result of which the spatial feeling is reinforced. Ilse synthesises these different elements together in a new dimension, and the bodily form has been of importance to her photography for a long time.
