Netherlands-based photographer Marcel Briaire approaches every new assignment as a fresh story. For each assignment he looks to use the right mix of techniques ( lighting, camera, post-production ) that best suit the picture. "I don't like to repeat the same 'trick' each time; this way I keep it fresh," he says.

Wherever he can, Marcel incorporates his love for the stylish 1940s and 50s in his work. His eye for detail and finish always shows through in his images.
