Featured in this Showcase are KME photographers Michael Müller and Mario Entero.
Michael Müller shoots sports, action and lifestyle photography. He specialises in capturing emotions in their purest form without relying on artificial light. His exposures seem so authentic that they not only mask the presence of the photographer but also allow the viewer to become part of the picture. Snowstorms, rain showers or scalding heat, the realisation of his style is even more effective under extreme conditions. This is the reason why Michael is not only booked by sports customers but also shoots people and lifestyle work where natural authenticity is demanded.
Mario Entero shoots water sports and travel photography. His pictures contain a sense of adventure that reflect his long-standing passion for sports. Today he lives in Fuerteventura and is fascinated by all kinds of water sports. Regardless of whether he is shooting on, in, or underwater, taking risky action photos or creating unique underwater environments, Mario adopts the perspective of the athlete and tries to get as close as possible to the motions and feelings of his subjects.

The pair selected seven women from around the world and simply told them that they would be confronted by a liquid, which they should face open eyed and unflinching. Each woman had nine litres of a black oily liquid poured onto their faces for four seconds, captured on high-speed video.
Say the duo of the project's core premise: "We wanted to underline the metaphorical resemblance between humans and oil-soaked birds [...] What it must be like for birds that become soaked in mineral oil and perish on the beach."
The full project will premiere in association with the Berlin International Film Festival in the Urania event centre on 9 February at 7pm. It lasts until 20 February.

The Weinmeister Berlin-Mitte Berlin hotels
From Thomas Tänzer and Elmo Hagendorf, the discerning and innovative creators of the extremely successful Lux 11, a new star is born: The Weinmeister. Known as the “big brother” of Lux 11, the Weinmeister, which opened in July of 2010, caters to business travellers from the music, fashion and creative scene, as well as discerning leisure travellers. “We wanted to create a hotel which reflects the city of Berlin… from the 24-hour clubs to the large gallery spaces, capturing the essence of modern cool and what it means to enjoy the good life,” says Tänzer.
Situated in the city’s central Mitte district in an area filled with hip boutiques, galleries and a myriad of restaurants and bars, this 88-room hotel offers round-the-clock service and a sleek minimalist style with an emphasis on comfort. This is embodied in each of the bedroom’s large floor-to-ceiling bed structures that act as a room within a room. The rooftop spa and deck lounge offer guests luxurious relaxation, while the hotel’s luxury-punk aesthetic and walls decorated by local street artists give the space a raw urban energy. This energy has also helped make the ground floor Schwarz Bar, named after German actress and hotel regular Jessica Schwarz, a favourite among hip locals.
