Sakis Lalas lives and works between London and Milan. He specialises in celebrity portraits, advertising photography, fashion, still life and interiors. His ability to instantly grasp the character of the people in front of his camera allows him to put them at ease and realise deeply intimate portraits that reflect their personality.
This skill, along with the capacity of meeting tight deadlines, has led him to photograph people of international fame - Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Ralph Lauren - for publications such as WWD-Women’s Wear Daily, The Sunday Times, Cosmopolitan Italy, GQ China and Stern Germany.
Among his most recent works are portraits of Andrea Illy (Illycaffè) for Exceptional, the magazine of Ernst&Young UK; the front page of Stars, the magazine of the Dorchester Hotels managed by Cedar ADV UK; for People Magazine he shot portraits of Lizzie Georgiou, 2015 Oscar nominee for make-up design for 'The Guardians of the Galaxy' and of Haris Zambarloukos, director of photography of 'Cinderella'. For Esquire, Sakis did portraits of Phedon Papamichael, 2014 Oscar nominee for photography for 'Nebraska'.
