John Hutchinson is a native New Yorker, based in Manhattan. His 20 years of location scouting and managing has taken him to 50 countries and 45 states. His obsession for finding the right location, combined with his good eye and ability to “get” the needs of his clients, has led to him working with many of the world’s finest photographers and directors.

John has scouted by helicopter in Jamaica, by cyclo in Vietnam, by jeep in Wyoming, by Trabant in Havana and by snowmobile in the Yukon. He is as comfortable scouting the canyons of Manhattan as those of southern Utah or Jordan’s Petra.

Shoots scouted by John include: Rolex in Costa Rica, Levi's in Thailand, Microsoft in New Orleans, Intel in Shanghai and Death Valley, Price Waterhouse in Jakarta, IBM in Singapore, Senegal, Australia and Canada, and Budweiser in Beijing.
