“I love what I do and how I am challenged on a daily basis.” Lisa Ramsay picked up a camera when she was pretty young and has not put it down since. She photographed everything - ­family members, events, the family cat, rays of light, the ocean­, you name it. By the time she was in high school, she was hooked on taking photographs, making her own prints in the darkroom and dreaming of a career as a photographer.

Lisa moved from her family home in Florida to New York City where she landed a job as the Photography Studio Coordinator at Fairchild Publications, also enrolling in the night time photography degree programme at School of Visuals Arts.

After ten years with Fairchild Lisa left to pursue a freelance photography career. She has also taught all levels of photography, lighting, alternative processes, and darkroom techniques at the International Center of Photography, NYCDPW and at the Educational Art Alliance. Lisa is an exhibiting artist and currently focuses on her commercial photography work.
