Born and raised in Yorkshire, UK, Stuart Tyson left for London to study bio-chemistry. Soon after receiving his first camera he became an avid shooter and after following an opportunity to assist a friend he was instantly hooked.
After a visit to New York, Stuart decided to relocate there to build his career. He started out shooting for art books and gallery catalogues and photographed spaces, installations and often the artists themselves. He became adept with the 8x10 and 4x5 formats. This led to commissions to shoot still life and products where his attention to detail and form was best employed.
To-date, Stuart's photographs have appeared in over 50 magazines and publications worldwide and his own fine art hangs on the walls of many New York institutions and corporations. Stuart is married and is the proud father of three.
Client's include Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Lucky, Vanity Fair, Details, GQ, Veranda, Instyle, Essence, Bicycling, Runner's World, Prevention, Bon Appetite, Architectural Digest, W Magazine and Condé Nast Media Group.
