Amaranthine Photos Singapore photographers

Light has fascinated Richard W. J. Koh since childhood. He considers photography a mystical art where “one harvests light which comes from above”.

In 2003, despite having a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, he made a mid-career switch from R&D engineering to photography and was featured in the TV programme 'Career Blueprints' (2007).

With photographs exhibited in Singapore, Dhaka and New York, Richard has received awards from international photography competitions. In 2011, he recently represented Singapore in exhibiting ten photographs at the ASEAN Day photo exhibition in Bangkok. He recently received two First Places and two Honourable Mentions at the International Photography Awards 2011 (by the Lucie Foundation).

His corporate clients have ranged from the Government to multinational corporations, and his editorial work has appeared in Reader's Digest Asia, the Discovery Channel Magazine and Aerospace Singapore.

He now runs Singapore-based Amaranthine Photos.
