Gustavo Lopez Manas won a Gold Lux 2008 award (first place in the National Professional Photography Awards in Spain) in the 'Personal Project' category with 'Carmilla', published by Ediciones Glénat. A graphic novel based on the classic 19th century vampire novelette written by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, it came along long before the famous 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker.
The photographer also works in fashion, advertising and music,
and featured in this Showcase is his work with Krakovia, a rock
band with which he has been awarded second place in
Advertising-Music at the International Photography Awards 2008 in
New York.
