Marc Díez was born in Barcelona in 1976. After studying Chemistry he decided to leave college and went to the United States for a year, where he discovered photography.

Back in Spain, Marc studied photography and started to work as an assistant for a number of renowned photographers before going freelance and immersing himself in the world of advertising.

He has worked for advertising agencies in Spain and Mexico including Ogilvy, Euro, DDB, JWT, McCann, Publicis, SCPF, and more, shooting for Absolut, Bacardi, Spain and Mexican Goverments, Mercedes and Movistar, among others. He has won several awards at advertising festivals such as Cannes, Sol and FIAP.

In 2007, feeling the need for creative renewal, Marc moved to Cozumel where he alternates between contract work and personal projects.
