Alex Weltlinger, in his own words:
"Once upon a time in Wonderland, the young Mad Hatter traded in his teeth for coffee and an old camera. Teaching himself everything while continuously drinking the coffee, he decided to shoot the white rabbit and take over the hole. Ever since then, he’s been a photographer.
Basing his hole in Sydney, the hatter shoots both fashion and commercial work. His style, like his personality, is correspondingly mad and dripping with caffeine - the subjects come out of the darkness of the crema into the light of the milk, the shadows are plentiful and all effects are done in camera. Like any great barista, the hatter takes great pride in the craftsmanship of each image.
With an army of field mice he created his company 18 on 9 Media Arts in 2009 with the sole purpose of taking over the world, one espresso at a time."
