- The TIFF Next Wave Film Festival, 15th - 17th February. Toronto International Film Festival launches a new annual event exclusively designed for young people aged between 14 and 18.
- Reel Artists Film Festival, 20th - 24th February. The festival presents a programme of international feature-length and short documentaries addressing questions raised by artists both in front of and behind the camera.
- Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is an annual event in May with over 1500 Canadian and international photographers exhibiting at more than 175 venues around Toronto. A portfolio review is also being held in May and the registration opens February 15th.
