After being the first photographer to inaugurate the brand new Autódromo Internacional do Algarve racetrack with a GT3 shoot for Porsche AG in October 2008, Stephan Romer returned to the circuit in 2009 for two further photo productions.

His first shoot was for the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS catalogue and worldwide ads. The rollercoaster-like racetrack, with sharp blind bends and amazing up and downhill sections, fitted perfectly with the challenging attributes of the 450 bhp race car.

In cooperation with and Quickrig GmbH, Stephan also shot the campaign for the AIA racetrack and its race cars, introduced by an international press conference mid 2009. One of the highlights of this production was an original high speed rig-shot of a drifting BMW M3. Both photographer and technique survived the experiment undamaged and with big smiles all round.
