Title: I Want Muscle
London-based Elisha Smith-Leverock is of German-American nationality. She studied photography in Berlin and after graduating in 2003 worked as a freelance photographer and contributor for international publications like Bon Magazine and 032.c.
In 2005 Elisha moved to London where she began doing portraits for magazines like Dazed & Confused and Another Magazine whilst experimenting with moving image. In 2009 she crossed over into the world of music videos and fashion films, which have toured the world in Diane Pernet’s ‘A Shaded View Of Fashion' Film Festival and gained critical acclaim.
One of the films Elisha directed was part of Nick Knight and ShowStudio’s exhibition ‘The Fashion Body’ in London’s Somerset House. Her film ‘Sunshowers’ was named number one fashion film of the season by the influential The Business Of Fashion website.
Most recently, her film ‘I Want Muscle’ was awarded the ASVOFF MK2 Grand Prix.
