Berlin: Natalie Bitutski
Natalie Bitutski was born in 1987 in Almaty, Kazachstan. She immigrated to Germany in 1998.
Natalie studied Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Muenster, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. During her studies she took part in a number of short film festivals and spent a semester at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (Faculty of Fine Arts) that really marked the beginning of her motion work.
Featured in this Spotlight is 'Schattensprung', winner in the Animation Film category at The 4th International Photography, Short Film, Animation, and Gaming Contest 2012. 'Schattensprung' ("to jump over one's own shadow"), which means 'to broaden one's horizons and embark on something new', is a heart-felt work of love and opening up to the world.
She is currently living in Berlin, working as a motion designer a.o. for the Goldener Westen agency.
