Scott Lanza started his business in 1980 photographing products and still life; his first major food project was 'The Gatherings Cook Book', a collection of recipes submitted by Junior League members, produced in 1987.
Since then he has been photographing food, almost exclusively, for both advertising agencies and clients directly. Scott’s studio is located in the state of Wisconsin where 85 to 90 percent of the milk produced goes into cheese making. It’s hardly a coincidence that he has taken a special interest in photographing cheese!
Close to the Chicago market, Scott has access to some of the best food stylists in the business, many of which he works with quite frequently. All post-shooting services are preformed in-house, providing Scott’s clientele with high quality images ready for reproduction. His 4000 square foot studio, located in a quiet rural setting, has a well-equipped kitchen ready to facilitate all food related productions.
In addition, Scott has photographed the food featured on the wildly popular websites Grilled Cheese Academy and The Cheese & Burger Society.
