Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Andrés Gomez Salazar had his first contact with photography as a marine biology student before leaving to shape a career in the USA.
He began learning photography at the Art Institute of Atlanta, receiving training in laboratory and lighting techniques as well as learning product, architecture and portrait photography. Andrés continued his studies at the Brooks Institute of Photography in California, from where he graduated with honours in 1997.
Showing his work in Colombia, Mexico and the USA, he has focused in different areas including fashion, architecture, people and landscape photography.
