Jouk Oosterhof is a professional freelance portrait and people photographer based in Amsterdam. During her 11 years of working she has developed a personal style, recognisable through sublimated reality. Her images are always staged and often contain humour. Light and colours are a big part of her signature.

Jouk is strong in capturing a particular kind of beauty, such as seen in her muse and former neighbour featured in the first image in her gallery. She makes her models look at ease, even though they’re in an uncommon setting or pose. She also works with celebrities, both in portraiture and advertising, sculpting them in her unique style without losing their own.

Clients include ABN Amro, Dazed&Confused, EasyJet, Elle, Financial Times, KesselsKramer, Lernert&Sander, McCann Erickson, McDonald's, Nike, Playboy, Saatchi&Saatichi, Sky Italy, TBWA and UbachsWisbrun.
