“You have the unique gift of finding beauty amongst the chaos, ruins and conflict” is how one Russian art collector recently described Simon Urwin’s photography.

Afghanistan and Kashmir have been the latest location shoots for Simon and the resulting images can be seen gracing the pages of magazines such as Renegade, Sidetracked and Lonely Planet Traveller.

Recognised by the Association of Photographers for his portraiture (he was a finalist in the prestigious AOP Awards last year), Simon was hand-picked by Sarah Brown (wife of the former British Prime Minister) to shoot a series of portraits in Kabul for her ongoing campaign alongside Malala Yousafzai to bring education to every child on the planet.

A former award-winning TV executive turned photographer, with a unique understanding of cross-platform campaigns in particular, Simon’s clients also include the likes of Historic Royal Palaces, Tesco and John Lewis.
