Peter Bak is a freelance lifestyle and travel photographer who has been working for more than 20 years. In his late 20s he moved to New York City, during which time he mastered film photography before moving on to digital. He has a natural talent for outdoor and location photography and is known for his dramatically lit environment portraits and intriguing travel images.

Peter specialises in creating engaging portraits and documantery. Furthermore, he enjoys making photo reports for travel and lifestyle magazines, combining this with exploring exotic cultures. When not shooting professionally he spends his time travelling and working on his personal portrait series.

Peter works with a wide range of clients from travel magazines to corporate portraits, including Rijksmuseum, ThiemeMeulenhoff, Nautique, Rails, Dutch Playboy, Elle magazine, Carp, HP de tijd and NRC M-magazine.
