Founded in 1996 by CEO Hector Macleod, Glassworks was launched as a modern post production facility. The London Soho-based company supplies high-end digital animation and visual effects expertise for the production of creative content, from award-winning commercials to films, promos and digital material. It also devises tools for its own special assignments, such as the recent Heartworks project.
Glassworks expertise is built around a core team of specialists in computer animation, digital effects, telecine and compositing. The company's reputation is underpinned by its passion for quality, innovation and personalised service.
In 2006, in response to existing relationships with Dutch agencies and in recognition of the quality sought by both agencies and production companies, Glassworks Amsterdam was launched. With plans for further expansion within Europe, the company's current capacity (which includes 60 staff, six Flames, three Smokes, five Flints, Telecine, two Avids, a Final Cut Pro suite and 40 3D stations, plus Shake Farm), will inevitably increase.
