Passion Pictures is one of Europe's leading independent film production companies. Active in commercials and music video production, the company uses character animation, graphics and mixed media techniques. Its film and television department specialises in documentaries, winning an Academy Award for its feature documentary 'One Day In September' (Dir: Kevin McDonald, 2000). The company also has an office in Paris, which opened in 2002.
In the field of animation, Passion Pictures is probably best known for its award-winning commercials as well as the Gorillaz music videos, directed by Pete Candeland and designed and co-directed by Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the band. Passion Pictures has a wealth of experience in combining live action with animation, and houses a highly experienced team of directors, animators, producers, visual effects supervisors and art directors.
