Collaborative partners Pauline Rochas and Carole Beaupré - the pair behind still life and beauty photography practice Coolife - have mastered the art of imbuing inanimate objects with life-like potency. The subjects of their commercial and editorial photography, be it confectionery, a pair of stiletto heels, a bottle of champagne, a lipsick holster, or a set of crinkled sheets, seem to jump off the pages of glossy magazines - obliging the viewer to eat, to drink, to smell, and to touch.
Since its inception in 2000, Coolife has built a roster of luxury brands and magazines. Clients have included David Yurman, Lancôme, Clé de Peau Beauté, Elizabeth Arden, Smirnoff Vodka, Koral Jeans, Three Olives Vodka, W and The New York Times Style Magazines.
