Rihanna has recently launched her scandalous new S&M music video.
She and her director Melina Matsoukas are already being sued by David LaChapelle. David is famous for his work, taking photos of celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, and Vanity Fair.
According to him the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to his works. David goes on to say that Rihanna stole eight images for the video, which copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work.”
You can find images below comparing similarities between Lachapelle’s photography and Rihannas music video S&M.
Rihanna’s new video is also being questioned by a 19-year-old fashion photographer from Germany. Phillip Paulus has just started to pursuit his career.
Last summer he shot an editorial called Paperworks which is now believed had given great ideas for Rihanna’s new video. In the pictures below you will be able to see a model in the red dress clawing at the plastic sheet that tapes her to the wall almost alike to the Rihanna’s engaging performance in the video.
Here is the behind the scenes footage from Philipp’s photo shoot
And here’s Rihanna’s video
This doesn’t credit neither Rihanna or her art director, perhaps new talent is on the cast for her next video shoot.
