Production Paradise: Who have influenced and inspired you, and how did they change your thinking?

Kourosh: It’s really hard to answer this question; the thing is that I have always been in love with visual arts, especially photography and cinema. I think my photography is mostly influenced by great directors in cinema like Francis Ford Coppola and Stanley Kubrick. I started my photography when I was very young (16yrs old) and I really liked to take portraits of my family and friends for which I used a Mamiya ZE-X 35mm Camera with a 135mm lens. I had my first client in March 1999.

Production Paradise: What it is that you want to say with your photographs, and how do you get your photographs to do that?

Kourosh: I like to show beauty and story together in my photographs, and I always try to find the best angle to show these.

Production Paradise: What was your career path? How did you get from being an aspiring photographer to actually doing it full time, for a living?

Kourosh: As you know, I graduated from Azad Art University of Tehran in Industrial Design. I learned photography by myself and I have never been taught when it comes to how to photograph. My experience was always my master in this field. I also had always many photographer friends from whom I try to learn as well.

Production Paradise: What motivates you to take pictures?

Kourosh: I think each person in this world can do at least one thing well; I believe that thing for me is photography, which I can do better than any other job. I was born to do this and I want to do this the best way that I can.

Production Paradise: Why do you love taking pictures? What is it about photography that has become your passion?

Kourosh: I take pictures, because this is the only thing in this world that I really like to do and I love to make it better and better every day. Photography is my life passion and I can express myself and my feelings and my perception of the world through my photographs.

Production Paradise: If you could photograph any celebrity in the world, who would it be and why?
