Our choice of the Most Marketable Photos from Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year
Production Paradise has been passionately promoting the work of commercial food photographers for many years to the world’s top ad agency Art buyers and brands, which is why we are always thrilled to sponsor Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year. The diversity of incredible photographic work entered each year provides a tough challenge for the awards judges, who always triumph with an outstanding winning photo.
Production Paradise CEO Andreas von Estorff, one of the awards judges, was once again asked by the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year team to provide his expert opinion for the most marketable images from the previous years’ awards.
Andreas von Estorff: Recently we have seen a shift in food photography trends within advertising. If we look at how society influenced advertising over the past few years we can see that authenticity paved the way. However in 2018 there has been a move more towards not only storytelling but also back to exquisite composition, often conceptual with rich lighting. It is once again crucial that solid photographic skills are a “must-have” ingredient for each photo. With this in mind here are my choices:
