About
Powell Jordano is a Chicago-based tabletop photographer specializing in food and beverage imagery.
He discovered his passion for creating imagery in college and began his photographic journey documenting land-use focused on former missile sites around Illinois.
Eventually, his love of playing with food and lighting glassware took him off the hiking trail and into the studio where he began a commercial career with his wife and studio manager, Sasha Jordano.
When not shooting something tasty, Powell can be found exploring new places, wandering off the beaten path, and eating all the foods with his partner in crime.

Powell Jordano is an experienced tabletop photographer specialising in food, beverage, and product imagery. Whether he is working with restaurants, magazines, or global brands, clients love his ability to capture dynamic and inviting, yet natural-feeling light within a controlled environment. Through keen attention to detail, Powell takes his work beyond the visual and aims to entice his viewers’ other senses.
Powell primarily works out of his Chicago-based studio, but is able to shoot remotely with clients across the globe or on location nationwide. He prides himself on working with a wide variety of clientele, ranging from small local businesses, like The Spice House and Cottage Door Press, to top brands like Miller Lite and Brach’s candy.
Powell is represented by Emissary Artists and would love to collaborate on your next project!

Powell Jordano is an experienced tabletop photographer specialising in food, beverage, and product imagery. Whether he is working with local restaurants, magazines, or multi-national brands, clients love his incredible ability to capture dynamic and inviting, yet natural-feeling light within a controlled environment.
Powell was recently featured in a Peerspace article listing the best commercial photographers in Chicago, which described his work as “quirky, bright, unexpected, and absolutely captivating.”
Although his studio is located in "The Windy City", Powell and his talented team of stylists are able to confidently work with clients remotely, and are available for assignments on location nationwide. He also offers advanced in-house retouching and compositing to produce the highest quality visuals for all of his clients’ print and web-based needs.
