Javier Pla was born in Madrid and at the age of 23 moved to New York City to study photography at the ICP New York. After 11 years living and working in the city, he moved back to Europe from where he regularly contributes portraits, personal projects and fashion editorials to magazines including Yo dona, Marie Claire, German Glamour, GQ and Condé Nast Traveler.

Javier's work has a disarming charm that constantly tells a story. His advertising clients include Dove, Turespaña, Nivea, Escorpion, Fun&Basics, Springfield, Larios, Costa Blanca and tuc tuc Kids.

His personal work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries including Sotheby's Spain, Casa de Vacas (Madrid), Gallery C (Germany), and McCann-Eriksson (Paris).
