After attending photography classes at New York's School of Visual Arts and assisting a number of fashion photographers, Markos Fortes returned to his hometown Rio de Janeiro in 2000 to begin his career.

From his Rio-based studio Markos shoots fashion spreads, magazine covers, advertising campaigns, CD covers and portraits for a wide range of clients, including Bradesco Bank, Trip Magazine, Vogue, Som Livre Records, Wella, and others.

His portfolio reflects the influence of a vivid Rio de Janeiro, translated into colourful and relaxed images of fashion models and TV stars enjoying the carioca sway.
